A one-of-a-kind handmade frame — whimsical, witchy and feminine, for those who find beauty in the things the forest leaves behind.

There are shrines that no one builds on purpose.
This one assembled itself — slowly, in the green dark, where moss grows over gold and flowers do not ask permission to bloom beside the dead. At its centre, a mink skull: long-snouted, pale, and entirely unbothered by the reverence surrounding it. Preserved wings spread behind it like a cloak, or a crown, or both. A single vertebra of some small creature rests above — a quiet detail, easy to miss, impossible to forget. A hand-cast gothic window, gilded and shadowed, frames the skull from behind as though it has always stood in this particular cathedral, waiting for exactly this kind of light.

The backing is deep bottle green velvet. The flowers — peonies, thistles, small blooms in rose, violet, white and yellow — grow out from the edges of the composition in cheerful disregard for the solemnity of everything else. The moss peeks through between the blooms. The whole thing smells faintly of forests and old wood and something you can't quite name.
