Autumnal Cemetery | Bats
A one-of-a-kind handmade gothic decor piece, created for lovers of dark, autumnal and macabre aesthetics.
This composition presents a suspended bat skeleton beneath a glass dome — hand-painted base, hand-sanded, with ornate name plaque, base with decorative legs. The arrangement is rich with autumnal atmosphere: dried flowers, lichens, fungi, and mosses crowd the base alongside a hand-cast, hand-painted miniature tombstone, miniature hand-painted skulls, and a small bottle filled with cemetery soil and bone fragments. The dome sits within an ornate frame. A metal nameplate bears the bat's Latin species name.

Lore
It chose the crypt the way bats always do — for the dark, for the quiet, for the particular quality of cold that keeps the world at a distance. It hung there through autumn and into winter, then another autumn... head down, patient in the way that only small creatures can be patient.
At some point the patience became permanent. No one was there to notice exactly when.
It is still hanging. Still head down. The posture hasn't changed — only the bat has.
