A one-of-a-kind handmade glass dome — dark, ceremonial and utterly still, for those who find beauty in the moment the year begins to die.

A real cat skull, its jaw cradling a pine cone, bears the weight of a real preserved Ambragaeana ambra — wings spread wide in amber and shadow. Mummified bird feet grip the skull's cheekbones with quiet, possessive tenderness, as though claiming what was always theirs. Around them: a shed snake skin, moss, and dried botanicals in the colours of a dying season — deep red, burgundy, gold and rust — arranged beneath a gothic glass dome that turns the whole into something between a reliquary and a warning.

Mors Autumnalis — The Death of Autumn.

LORE

Autumn does not die quietly. She burns.

She burns in the grasses that have forgotten how to be green, in the flowers that chose red over surrender, in the amber of wings that carried the last warmth of summer into the dark. The cat knew this. She had watched enough seasons end to understand that dying is not an absence — it is a transformation, slow and deliberate and terribly beautiful.

The cicada came when the fires started. She settled on the skull like a crown, wings still holding the colour of the flame, body dark as the char beneath it. The bird feet followed, curling around the cheekbones with the quiet certainty of things that have already decided. The pine cone waited in the jaw, patient as a seed that knows it will outlast the winter.

Under the glass, the season does not end. It simply holds its breath — suspended in the moment just before the last ember goes out, when everything is still warm, still golden, still impossibly alive.

This is what autumn keeps, in the end: not the living, but the light.
