LORE
Ilor, Keeper of the Love Rune
Long ago, when the northern forests were older than memory itself and runes were carved not for power, but for matters of the heart, there lived a small forest spirit named Ilor.
He was neither a god nor a warrior. With rabbit paws, a coat of russet fur, and moss-covered ram horns, Ilor wandered quietly beneath ancient pines, listening to the stories carried by the wind.
One winter’s night, he discovered a forgotten rune buried beneath the snow—a symbol of love and devotion, abandoned and nearly lost to time. Taking pity on it, Ilor gently carried it away and vowed never to let it be forgotten again.
Since that day, he has held the rune between his teeth wherever he travels.
It is said that when someone feels lonely, unseen, or unworthy of love, Ilor appears somewhere nearby. Not to fight their battles or grant wishes, but simply to remind them that love is not something earned—it is something that already exists within them.
His moss-covered horns symbolize resilience and growth. His bright blue eye sees beauty where others overlook it.
The talisman resting against Ilor’s chest bears the Ægishjálmur—the Helm of Awe. Ancient stories say it protects wandering souls from fear and helps them find the courage to continue their journey, even when the path ahead disappears into darkness.
He is a guardian of lost hope, forgotten kindness, and the quiet love that survives even the darkest winters.
