A one-of-a-kind handmade occult shadowbox — sacred, subversive and deeply considered, for those who understand that the most powerful symbols are the ones that have been turned inside out.

Three wooden crosses rise from black velvet — the central one bearing a real preserved mouse skeleton, arms outstretched, ribcage open, the INRI plaque above its skull. The two flanking crosses carry traditional silver figures, witnesses to something that is not quite what it appears to be. The whole scene is set into a hand-cast, hand-painted frame in black and gold, baroque and heavy, the kind of frame that belongs in a church that has forgotten what it was built for.

This is a piece about devotion — what we worship, what we sacrifice, what we place at the centre of our altars and call holy. The mouse does not mind. It has always known.

Each piece comes with a Morbid Oddities logo sticker.

LORE

There were three of them, they say.
The records do not agree on the details.
What the records agree on
is the hill,
and the wood,
and the fact that something small
was at the centre of it all —
something that did not choose to be there
but was placed there anyway,
the way small things always are,
at the centre of stories
that are really about something else.
The mouse has been here
since before the frame.
The frame came later.
The gold came last,
the way gold always does —
to make the thing
look like it was always
meant to be this way.
