At first it was just a skull. I'm sure of that.
Then I stopped being sure.
Something kept rearranging when I wasn't looking. Not moving — rearranging. Like it already knew where things should be.
The ears came first. Too warm. The eye came later. It was already open.
I tried to fix it. It fixed me back.
It doesn't decay. It doesn't sleep. But sometimes it forgets what it is… and tries something else.
I hear it breathing, but the air doesn't move. Like it's practicing.
Yesterday it was facing the wall. Now it's facing the door. And I don't remember having a door there before.

So what is a Silent Companion?
A Silent Companion is an ultra-premium handmade sculpture — one of the most personal and labour-intensive pieces created at Morbid Oddities. Each one is built around a real animal skull, combined with organic elements, hand-carved details, and an antique base. But the object is only the beginning.
Every Silent Companion is conceived as a fully realised character — imagined in detail, given a name, a history, a reason for existing. The lore is written by me, personally, as an original story that belongs to that piece and no other. It is not a product description. It is a mythology.
These are not decorations. They are presences — silent, watchful, and entirely their own. Each one is created to accompany its owner: shaped around their world, their aesthetic, their needs. A companion that asks nothing, judges nothing, and simply exists alongside you — in your home, on your shelf, at your altar.
No molds. No copies. No repeats. Every Silent Companion is one of one, and will never be made again.

Each one is different
Some are unsettling. Some are melancholy. Some are almost tender — like Ilor, the small forest spirit who carries a love rune between his teeth and appears to those who feel unseen.
Some are stranger. Eye and Tongue arrived already knowing where things should be. Umbra Silvae came from the forest and brought the forest with it.

Made to order — for you
Silent Companions are created individually upon request. The process begins with a conversation — about the character, the materials, the feeling you're looking for. What kind of presence do you want in your home? What story should it carry?
From that conversation, the piece is built. Each Silent Companion takes days — sometimes weeks — to complete. There is no rushing a character into existence. Every detail is considered, every element chosen deliberately, until the piece becomes exactly what it was always meant to be.
Processing time is up to one month depending on complexity. Price depends on design and scope.
